Quiet Life Motel

David Schulman is often on our show with his series, Musicians in their Own Words. In his new album, Quiet Life Motel, he composes music for his electric violin and loops it into tangos, lullabies and bachatas. David referred to Bo Diddley playing the violin and using technology. Listen to an instrumental blues Bo Diddley played on violin instead of guitar, called "The Clock Strikes Twelve." (David says "About 2 minutes in there's a cool pizzicato solo, where he's playing through some kind of early tremolo or delay effect.")
