Sheldon Kennedy

Why I Didn't Say Anything

Produced by

As the Penn State scandal unfolds, the details are still emerging. A former assistant coach there has been charged with the abuse of boys, although he insists he is innocent. That news has special resonance for Sheldon Kennedy. Sheldon played for the NHL for years, but he’s better known for standing up and talking publically about what he went through as a victim of child abuse by one of his coaches. He now works to prevent the abuse of young people through a group he founded to train people to recognize the signs of abuse.
