The music that’s loaded on a soldier’s iPod is a part of each person’s survival strategy. Jake Warga is an independent radio producer who spent time in Iraq with U.S. troops. While he was there, he asked soldiers what music they loaded into their iPods. Today we’ll share a half dozen of the stories in a series called Soldier Soundtracks to War.
The Anonymous Model
It's Fashion Week in New York City, and Jenna Sauers is a former model who knows the ups-and-downs of spending time on the runways and at photo shoots. She began writing as "The Anonymous Model" for Jezebel.com to share the behind-the-scenes happenings of the fashion world. After retiring at the "old" age of 23, she came clean about her identity and gets pleasure now from creating paragraphs, not poses.
No Revolution
It’s still unknown just how far the unrest in Egypt and Tunisia will spread across the Arab world. There is however one country where the people remain trapped by warring factions. Abdi, our regular correspondent in Somalia, tells us how people there are reacting to news of Egypt's revolution, and he updates us on the violence in his neighborhood and at his university.
